Overall Rating: 4. Very friendly staff, nice little cafe, very clean and quiet site, all hookups easy to get to and use, we will be back!! We had a great site, and were pleased how convenient it was to the State Park. Happy Pappy's is definitely on our list of places to return to. Great location. Quiet, well managed, friendly. Will stay again. The site we were in was a little steep and the hitch got in a bind when we set up.
I think a little more gravel and some grading would eleminate that problem. We nice sites.
Not right on top of each other and full hookups. A luxury campground in my book. Very friendly and very accommodating. We will definitely be back next time I go to Montauk and trout fish! Very nice campground. Didn't get to stay the second time we had reservations due to an illness and had some trouble getting that fee back.
Would suggest waiting until closer to time to reserve because you have to pay the entire fee when you reserve. If I had known that I probably wouldn't have reserved a couple months ahead of time. Park was clean and oh so very quiet. The store was closed. No one to assist. Very few people were camping. WiFi would not work. Garmin on RV mode sent us down horrible gravel roads. It was no fault to the campground but was totally unnecessary.
Limited phone service and internet. No TV. Would have loved to go to store and sample pies Great store, the most wonderful people inside that make ya feel welcome into their home. Campsite was perfect with full hook ups and all. Great location if your wanting time fish at Montauk. Everyone is very welcoming and the daily pies are to die for! Beautiful campground. Quiet and calm.
Nice fire pits and great access to electric sewer and water. Close to Montauk for fishing. Their little store has everything you need and Glenna's home made pies are delicious. Can't wait to go back in October. Clean, quiet campground with full hookups. Oh, I almost forgot Always enjoy Happy Pappy"s.
