Would of liked to be on grass like the sites across but they were clean! I love this campground. This place is surprisingly nice for being in the middle of the city. It was very well-kept and clean nice family environment.

We will definitely spend more time here. The park rangers are extremely way too coked up to be of any service to the public here. They arrested a retired old guy on the beach because he was walking his dog on it. Not fined. That's insane. They all look like they're from seal team 6. Heavily armed on a tourist beach? What the hell are u nazis thinking? Its a tourist surf spot. And u have para military nuts guarding it? Are u insane? We told him that we forgot the tent and he threatened that he was going to have to get the Sheriff or we get out because we were breaking the rules. He also said that we were lucky it wasn't the Sheriff that found us because it would have been a lot worse. We found the tiny print on the rules that said we could not sleep in our car and were frantically trying to pack up, leave and find a safe street to park our car to sleep the little amount that we could.
The security guard told us that the Sheriff patrols that area 3 times a night. In the end, after packing up and being threatened with the Sheriff like criminals multiple times, he allowed us to stay and leave in the morning. The entire thing took about 30 minutes.

I could not sleep the rest of the night, because I was scared the Sheriff was going to get called and felt uncomfortable that I was breaking a rule. By the way, I saw every car that drove by the rest of the night and did not see a single Sheriff. If sleeping in your car is that big of a deal that you will kick us out or bring the police, you need to post it on your brochure with the other rules, make signs and have the person at the desk warn you during check in. When we checked in, the clerk asked what I would do if it rained. I said sleep in my car and we laughed.
If you are going to take the rule that seriously and not the no dog rules, maybe you should take down the no dogs sign and put up a sign that says no sleeping in your car. You should be able to understand our confusion with rules here.

That Friday and Saturday was a scene out of a movie. Many people partying drinking smoking loud music until the wee hours of the morning. Also a extremely dangerous large dog not on a leash almost attacked a small child. If me and an other gentleman wasn't there I would hate to think what would happen.
But after that weekend it was very quiet and peaceful. I know it all sounds Bad. But overall it was a nice place. I almost forgot the bathroom and showers are a nightmare.
